ClassPulse - attendance, results and fees in one portal

ClassPulse is a complete portal for one tuition center, coaching class or small school under your own name. Teachers take the register on their phone and enter marks; the front desk checks students in with the QR code of their ID card; the office publishes results with printable report cards (PDF), issues fee invoices per month or term and approves bank transfers; parents follow every child in one portal and pay fees online.

Fees are period-based: each invoice covers one month, one term or a one-time fee and is paid with Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, PayHere, Razorpay or bank transfer - verified on the server. Nothing renews and nothing is charged automatically. The website is an installable app (PWA) with a light theme and a full dark mode.

Every child, one clear dashboard

• Children switcher kept on every page: today, attendance ring, latest results, homework, notices and fees due with Pay now

QR check-in kiosk at the front desk

• Fee plans per class: monthly, per term or one time, optional add-ons (e.g. study hall, registration)

• Invoices issued before every month with the pay link; reminders before and after the due date
• Optional late fee, invoice PDF, payments recorded at the desk (cash, cheque, card)

Six ways to pay, verified on the server

• Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, PayHere, Razorpay and bank transfer (receipt upload + office approval)
• One payment can cover the invoices of several children
• Signed webhooks that fail closed; amount and currency checked against the stored payment
• Receipts by e-mail, print and PDF; refunds recorded with the reference

Good to know

• One installation runs one institute with one currency (USD by default) - every number is an admin setting.
• Fees are period-based invoices paid once - nothing renews or charges automatically. Online payments need your own merchant accounts.
• Not an LMS: no online courses, video lessons or quizzes - it is the portal for attendance, results, fees and communication.
• English is bundled; other languages are added in the admin with optional auto-translate.
• All people, names and numbers of the demo are fictional sample content.

Requirements at a glance

PHP 8.3+, MySQL 5.7+ / MariaDB 10.3+ (or SQLite), Apache, LiteSpeed or Nginx and a cron job. Full list below.

Install

1. Create an empty MySQL / MariaDB database and user in your hosting panel and select PHP 8.3 or newer.
2. Upload the classpulse folder and point your domain to its public folder - or upload its contents straight into public_html (with the hidden .htaccess files).
3. Open your-domain.com: the browser installer checks the server, asks for the database, your school name, country and owner account (optionally with demo data) and finishes in short steps.
4. Sign in at /login - the owner lands in the admin panel.
5. Admin: Classes & subjects, Timetable, Fee plans, Students; Settings: school, colours, school rules, payments, e-mail.
6. Add one cron job: * * * * * cd /path/to/classpulse && php artisan schedule:run

Updates

Back up, upload the update zip in Admin > Settings > Update (or copy the new files), then click Run update.

Open documentation/index.html in the download - it works offline.
