ClinicQ - right doctor, right on time

ClinicQ is a complete doctor appointment and clinic management system for one clinic with any number of doctors, departments and rooms, a lab and a pharmacy. Patients book online on the clinic website and get a token, follow the live OPD queue on their phone and receive e-prescriptions, lab reports and bills in the patient app. Doctors work in a phone-first doctor app with EMR and e-prescriptions, the front desk uses the reception app, the waiting room shows a TV display, and the clinic admin runs appointments, lab, pharmacy, day-care beds, billing with GST, insurance claim records, communication, reports and settings.

Built on Laravel 13 (PHP 8.3+) with a browser installer - the vendor folder is included, no Composer, Node.js or SSH needed.

Doctor app, EMR and e-prescriptions

The doctor app shows today's sessions and the live queue. The consultation screen has the nurse's vitals, complaints, examination, history, diagnosis with optional ICD-10 code, advice, private notes, follow-up and referral; prescriptions from templates and favourites with generic substitutes; lab and radiology orders; and a printable e-prescription with the clinic letterhead, the doctor's registration number and signature. Dictation uses the browser's speech recognition where available.

Lab reports and pharmacy stock

• Lab: sample due, collected, processing, results entered, verified, reported; barcode labels; reference ranges by gender and age with L/H and critical flags; doctor acknowledgement of critical values; PDF reports; TAT report
• Pharmacy: dispense e-prescriptions by batch and expiry with substitutes, counter sales with Schedule H checks, medicine master, suppliers, purchase orders, stock register, low stock and expiry alerts

Good to know

• One installation runs one clinic (any number of doctors, departments and rooms). It is not a multi-clinic platform.
• ABHA number / address and the HFR ID are stored and printed; direct ABDM linking is marked "Coming soon".
• Insurance pre-authorisations and claims are submitted on the insurer's or TPA's portal; ClinicQ keeps the claim records, documents, amounts and status.
• Video consults use Jitsi Meet room links (meet.jit.si or your own Jitsi server) or a Zoom link entered by the doctor; there is no built-in video system.
• The live queue and TV display refresh by polling every few seconds. The patient, doctor and reception apps are responsive web apps (add to home screen); no native Android / iOS apps and no public API.
• WhatsApp needs a Meta WhatsApp Cloud API number with approved templates; SMS needs MSG91 or Twilio. ClinicQ does not give diagnoses or drug-interaction warnings.

Support covers installation, configuration and bugs in the item. Server administration and custom development are not included.

Demo note: the live demo runs with demo mode on - settings, masters and deletes are disabled, the daily work flows (booking, check-in, queue, consultation, lab, pharmacy, billing) can be tried, and the demo data resets every 3 hours.

Install

1. Create an empty MySQL / MariaDB database and user in your hosting panel and select PHP 8.3 or newer.
2. Upload the contents of the clinicq folder (with the hidden .htaccess files) and point your domain to its public folder - or upload it straight into public_html.
3. Open your-domain.com: the browser installer checks the server, asks for the database and creates your owner account and clinic (demo data optional, imported in short steps so shared hosts do not time out).
4. Sign in at /staff/login and set up the clinic profile, doctors and weekly sessions, booking rules, lab tests and medicines, payment gateways, SMTP and WhatsApp / SMS (all in the clinic admin, System group).
5. Add the team (receptionists, nurses, lab, pharmacy, accountants); doctors use /doctor, the front desk /reception, patients /account. Open the TV display link on the waiting-room screen.
6. Add the cron job * * * * * cd /path/to/clinicq && php artisan schedule:run for reminders, automations and stock alerts.

Updates

1. Back up, upload the new files over the old ones (or the update zip in System Update; .env, storage and public/uploads are kept), then click Run update - your data is kept.
