Files Editor is a complete PDF website you can run as your own business. Visitors edit PDF text in its original font, merge, split, compress, convert, sign, protect and OCR their documents with 37 tools — most of them right in the browser, so files stay private and your server stays light. You earn from free and paid plans with seven payment gateways and from Google AdSense, and manage everything from a modern admin panel. No coding needed.

A real PDF editor

Click any line of an existing PDF and type: the new words are written with the same embedded font, size, color and position, and bold or colored words in the line keep their style. Add text, images, signatures, shapes, highlights, links and notes, fill forms, rotate and delete pages — on desktop and phone.

You decide what is free

For every tool choose on / off, free or premium, and whether sign-in is required, rename it and write its SEO text. Plans set tasks per day, file size, cloud storage, premium tools and ad-free browsing.

Payments that cannot be faked

Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, PayHere, Paystack, Mollie and bank transfer. Every payment is confirmed by the gateway — signed webhooks or API checks, exact amount and currency, and a transaction can never pay twice.

Every language, automatically

Add a language and the whole site is translated automatically and stored in your database — no Google Translate widget — with SEO-friendly language URLs. Seven ready-made languages are included (English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Tamil and Sinhala) with right-to-left support. Multiple currencies with live exchange rates.

Secure by design

Two-factor authentication, Google and Facebook login, captcha, a renamable admin folder and demo mode. Server conversions are hardened against SSRF and local file reads, and the code is covered by automated security tests.

Easy to install and update

Built with Laravel 13 (PHP 8.3+). All libraries and built assets are included — no Composer, Node.js or SSH needed. A web installer sets everything up on cPanel, hPanel, Plesk or a VPS, new versions update the database automatically, and a complete illustrated documentation is included.

• Web hosting with PHP 8.3 or newer (8.3, 8.4, 8.5) and MySQL 5.7+ / 8.x or MariaDB 10.3+ (SQLite also works)
• PHP extensions: pdo_mysql, mbstring, openssl, curl, fileinfo, xml, zip (gd recommended)

• Optional: LibreOffice on a VPS or a ConvertAPI key for the best Office conversions (otherwise they run in the browser)

Install

1. Create an empty MySQL database and a user with all privileges in your hosting panel, and select PHP 8.3 or newer.
2. Upload the ZIP to your domain folder (e.g. public_html) and extract it. If the files are inside a folder, move them up into public_html.
3. Open your-domain.com/install: the web installer checks the server, creates the tables and your admin account (optional demo content).
4. Log in at /admin and set your logo, colors, email (SMTP), payment gateways (copy the webhook URL shown under each one), plans and languages.

Updates

Upload the new files over the old ones (keep .env, storage and public/uploads) — the database updates itself on the next visit and caches are cleared.
