PawStay - pet grooming, boarding and daycare booking in one Laravel script

PawStay is a complete website for one pet care business - a grooming salon, a boarding resort, a doggy daycare or all three under one roof. Pet parents book grooming with a groomer and time slot, boarding stays in the suite of their choice or daycare days, keep their pet profiles and vaccine certificates on file and pay online. Staff run the day from a today board on their phone, check pets in and out and send photo report cards every day. The admin controls services, suites, prices by pet size, packages, payments and every text and colour.

Customers pay the full amount or a deposit with Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, Razorpay, PayHere or bank transfer - verified on the server. Prepaid daycare passes and grooming packs are paid once: No auto-renew, nothing is charged automatically. The website is an installable app (PWA) with a light theme and a full dark mode.

Pet profiles with vaccine rules

Breed, size, weight, vet, medication, temperament and photos for every pet. Vaccine certificates with expiry dates are checked at every booking against the vaccines you require per service and species, verified by your team and followed by reminders before they expire.

Daily photo report cards

Staff fill in photos, meals, potty, play, mood, medication and a personal note on their phone. Pet parents get an e-mail and see every card in their feed - and can send love or a reply.

Suites with live availability

Suite types with photos, units, pets per suite and nightly rates by pet size. Visitors see how many units are free for their dates; closed days, peak-night surcharges and holiday minimum stays are set in the admin.

Prepaid packages and passes

Daycare passes and grooming packs with credits and an expiry date, bought online and used when booking. No auto-renew: a reminder before a pass runs out. Usage history for the customer, credit and date adjustments for the admin.

Payments you can trust

• Stripe, PayPal, Paystack, Razorpay, PayHere and bank transfer with receipt approval
• Server-side verification of order, amount and currency; signed webhooks that fail closed
• Front-desk payments, account credit and invoices for every payment

Dashboard and reports

Revenue, bookings, boarding occupancy, new pet parents, bookings by service, upcoming arrivals and a list of what needs attention - with reports and CSV export.

Your brand, light and dark

Colour presets or your own colours, logo, fonts, a full dark mode, an installable app and every text editable and translatable with auto-translate. Social network links with your own icons.

Good to know

• One installation runs one pet care business with one currency (USD by default) - every price, rule and limit is an admin setting.
• Packages are paid once per pass - No auto-renew, nothing is charged automatically. Online payments need your own merchant accounts.
• English is bundled; other languages are added in the admin with optional auto-translate.
• All people, pets and numbers of the demo are fictional sample content.

Requirements at a glance

Support covers installation, configuration and bugs in the item. Server administration and custom development are not included.

Demo note: the live demo runs in demo mode - saving settings, uploads and deleting are disabled, no e-mail is sent, the demo data refreshes itself, and payments are never simulated.

Install

1. Create an empty MySQL or MariaDB database and a user with all privileges (or use SQLite), and select PHP 8.3 or newer.
2. Upload the contents of the pawstay folder to your domain folder (e.g. public_html) and extract it.
3. Open your-domain.com/install: the web installer checks the server, creates the tables and your admin account, with optional demo data.
4. Sign in and set your logo, colours, business hours, services, suites, prices, e-mail (SMTP), payment gateways, social networks, PWA and languages in the admin panel.
5. Add the cron job shown in the documentation: * * * * * cd /path/to/pawstay && php artisan schedule:run

Updates

1. Back up, upload the new files over the old ones (keep .env, storage and public/uploads), sign in as admin and click Run update.
