Pulse Post 10 - your newsroom, rebuilt on Laravel

Pulse Post is a complete news and magazine CMS: a fast magazine website with eleven story formats, a drag & drop home page, breaking ticker, trending, a live radio player, memberships and paid stories, author earnings and payouts, newsletters, many languages with right-to-left support, Google News and a full admin panel.

Version 10 is Pulse Post rebuilt on Laravel 13 with the same design - the same pages, admin screens and settings. Upgrade from 9.x with the built-in "Import from Pulse Post 9.x" installer option: stories, readers, members, payments and settings come along, old addresses redirect with 301 and your 9.x Android app keeps working. New: a Flutter news app for Android and iPhone, Storage Box and Google Drive storage, admin dark mode and an installable web app (PWA).

Install

1. Create an empty MySQL / MariaDB database and user and select PHP 8.3 or newer.
2. Upload the pulsepost folder and point your domain to its public folder - or upload its contents into public_html (with the hidden .htaccess).
3. Open your domain: the installer checks the server, asks for the database and your site, and lets you start empty, with the demo newsroom, or import a Pulse Post 9.x database.
4. Add the cron job: * * * * * cd /path/to/pulsepost && php artisan schedule:run
5. Sign in at /news_admin.

Upgrading from 9.x

Install version 10 in a sub-domain with a new database, choose "Import from a Pulse Post 9.x database", copy the old uploads folder to public/uploads, check, then point your domain to the new folder. Full steps in documentation/index.html.
