SalonQ is complete salon, spa and beauty studio software that installs in two modes: for one salon brand with any number of branches, or as a multi-salon SaaS where salons sign up, get their own website on a sub-domain or their own domain and pay your plans. Clients book services, stylists and live slots on the salon website and pay online or at the salon; the client app holds bookings, Glow Club credits, wallet and looks; stylists work in the stylist app, the front desk in the reception / POS app, and the salon admin runs appointments, a live floor with walk-ins, POS billing with GST, staff rosters, commission and payroll, memberships, gift cards, inventory, offers, messages and reports. In SaaS mode a super admin manages salons, onboarding, plans and billing.

Built on Laravel 13 (PHP 8.3+) with a browser installer - the vendor folder is included, no Composer, Node.js or SSH needed.

Queue & POS billing with GST

Visits land on the POS ready to bill: services with their stylist, products, packages, memberships, gift cards and tips; GST per line with CGST / SGST or IGST; coupons, membership credits, gift cards and wallet; split payments by cash, UPI, card, bank, cheque or wallet; receipts on WhatsApp or e-mail; a waiting-room TV board and a Z-report to close the day. Paying a bill writes the commission of each line and deducts retail and back-bar stock.

A salon admin that shows today

• Dashboard with today's appointments, revenue, chair occupancy, no-shows, revenue for 12 months and by category, live floor and waiting list

Membership plans with credits, discounts, free services and tiers; packages and gift cards. Retail and consumable products with stock per branch, consumption recipes per service, suppliers, purchase orders and a daily low-stock digest. Services and prices can be imported from CSV.

Two modes, one install

• Browser installer for shared hosting, VPS and Windows (XAMPP / Laragon) with optional demo data imported in short steps (no time-outs); choose single salon or multi-salon SaaS - and switch later without reinstalling
• SaaS super admin: dashboard with MRR and churn risk, analytics, salons and owners, verification queue, plans with limits and feature flags, subscription invoices with GST, renewals, support login and tickets, landing page, public sign-up with free trials

Good to know

• The client, stylist and reception apps are responsive web apps (add to home screen); there are no native Android / iOS apps and no public API.
• Attendance is clock-in / clock-out in the stylist app; biometric devices are not connected. There is no Tally or accounting software sync - reports and invoices export as CSV.
• WhatsApp needs a Meta WhatsApp Cloud API number with approved templates; SMS needs MSG91 or Twilio; e-mail needs SMTP. SalonQ never shows a message as sent when it was not.
• The multi-salon mode needs a wildcard DNS record (*.yourdomain.com) and SSL; salons' custom domains need DNS and SSL on your server.
• Live screens refresh by polling every few seconds. Membership and plan renewals are paid by payment link - there are no automatic recurring card charges.

Support covers installation, configuration and bugs in the item. Server administration and custom development are not included.

Demo note: the live demo runs in multi mode with demo mode on - settings, uploads and deletes are disabled, the daily work flows (booking, check-in, walk-ins, POS billing, stylist start / finish) can be tried, and the demo data resets every 3 hours.

Install

1. Create an empty MySQL / MariaDB database and user in your hosting panel and select PHP 8.3 or newer.
2. Upload the contents of the salonq folder (with the hidden .htaccess files) and point your domain to its public folder - or upload it straight into public_html.
3. Open your-domain.com: the browser installer checks the server, asks for the database, lets you choose single salon or multiple salons - SaaS and creates your account (demo data optional, imported in short steps so shared hosts do not time out).
4. SaaS mode: add a wildcard DNS record *.your-domain.com pointing to the same folder (with SSL) so every salon gets its own sub-domain.
5. Sign in at /staff/login (salon admin) or /superadmin (SaaS) and set up branding, branches and hours, team and rosters, services, booking rules, payment gateways, SMTP and WhatsApp / SMS.
6. Add the cron job * * * * * cd /path/to/salonq && php artisan schedule:run for reminders, automations, renewals and stock alerts.

Updates

1. Back up, upload the new files over the old ones (.env, storage and public/uploads are kept), then click Run update in System Update - your data is kept.
